New local authority apprenticeships for schools and nurseries have launched
If you are looking at opportunities to upskill your staff, a local authority apprenticeship is a great option to consider. Government funding for new recruits has been extended until 31 January 2022 with funding of £1200 to support staff. There is no limit to the number of apprentices you may wish to bring on board.
While existing staff are not eligible for the new scheme funding, they can still apply for an apprenticeship which can be used to strengthen and upskill your workforce. Individuals do not need to be working full time with existing staff pay staying the same. You will be required to allow staff members the time to gain the qualification when required.
A series of new apprenticeships have also launched which incorporate the NPQ qualification. The table below showcases the latest apprenticeships for you to consider.
