Primary Languages Resources and News – 2021

  • Eleanor Chettle Cully and Lessons from Lockdown Learning
  • Janet Lloyd of the Primary Languages Network is offering some lovely Spanish ‘spring’ resources, at a minimal cost (April 2021).
  • Claire Seccombe has written a blog recently on different ways to use ‘sentence builders’ in the primary languages classroom.  (This a teaching method very much in vogue in secondary languages classrooms at the moment.)  As always great ideas shared so generously.
  • As a taster of the delights that Suzi Bewell will have in store for the June 21 Primary Hub meeting, here are the Spanish and French cultural calendars for April. To download the calendars, visit Suzi’s website.
  • A report has been published outlining the findings of a survey undertaken by the University of Oxford and University of Reading into teachers’ views about the rationale for teaching languages and the proposed changes.
